Police Annual Pay Award

Having considered all of the evidence from both the Official Side and Staff Side of the Police Negotiating Board (P.N.B.) the Police Arbitration Tribunal (P.A.T.) have made the following announcement:-

RECOMMENDATION

To increase the pay of all ranks of police officers covered by the three Standing Committees of the P.N.B. (including Federated Ranks) by 2.5% with effect from 1st September 2007.

Members should note that the aforementioned P.A.T. award of 2.5% must be ratified by the Home Secretary, Ms Jacqui Smith, before retrospective payments and uprating of police pay, by 2.5%, can take place. The Federation has, as yet, no indication if and when the Home Secretary is likely to give such a decision.

We will update our members of any future developments.

Terry Spence
Chairman - P.F.N.I.
