INCOME TAX - FLAT RATE EXPENSE ALLOWANCE

Following discussions with H.M. Revenue & Customs, we have secured the Revenue's agreement for another increase on the Flat Rate Expense Allowance from £110 to £140 with effect from 1 April 2008.

The PAYE, SA and NICS of H.M.R.C. have advised tax offices of this increase and they have shown the increases on the H.M.R.C. website which is:-

Members will receive an amended Tax Code showing the increased allowance, hopefully prior to 6 April 2008.

The new tax system has grouped the allowances into five bands, our new allowance is now in the top band.
