Police Federation Welcomes New Training College
The Police Federation of Northern Ireland has expressed its pleasure at the confirmation that there will be a new police training college provided at Cookstown, County Tyrone.
Bob Wilson, Secretary of the Police Federation, which represents 10,000 officers from the rank of Constable to Chief Inspector inclusive, said: "The provision of a training college was an important recommendation of the Patten Report and has been long sought by this Federation. We congratulate all those involved and look forward to it being brought into use."
