Police Federation Restores Normal Service With PONI
Following a presentation today by the new Police Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, Al Hutchinson, the Central Committee of the PFNI which represents 9,500 federated officers agreed to re-engage fully and immediately at all levels with the Police Ombudsman's Office.
Earlier this year in March, following a Federation review of how Mr Hutchinson's predecessor, Mrs Nuala O'Loan had addressed her remit, the Federation withdrew all corporate contact with her Office. That decision had no bearing on the statutory obligations of individual officers in relation to PONI.
