Mobile Phone / Gadget Cover - Cover Ending 30th April 2020

As subscribers to the PFNI Voluntary Fund, I write to inform you that the contract for the Gadget / Mobile Phone insurance cover that has been in place for the last two years will cease with effect from 30 April 2020.

This cover was initially provided on a two year trial basis with a review after one year, and, as you know, was provided to members at no extra cost.

We have analysed the usage which showed a small number of claims against the cost of the yearly cover. In addition, the terms of the new contract offered were not as attractive as those in the initial contract. Both these issues have made renewal financially unviable.

Please note that existing cover is effective until 30 April 2020 and any claims until that date should be submitted in the usual manner.
