Yesterday PFNI received confirmation via the Department of Justice that details of the HM Treasury pensions public consultation process would be published on Thursday 16 July 2020. The documents are now available via the attached link:

This consultation is on both the retrospective pension changes to address the discrimination element, as well as the government’s future plans. An update on the cost control mechanism has also been released at the same time.  

PFNI will carefully consider the contents and be actively involved in meetings both locally and nationally before formally responding.

Notwithstanding this consultation process the related PFNI Pension Claim legal action remains open for eligible applicants.
