Launch of consultation process - Police Pensions (Remedial Service) Regulations 2023

Please see below regarding the formal consultation process on the draft Police Pensions (Remediable Service) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023).

The purpose of these draft regulations are to:-

1. enact the second phase (“retrospective”) of the McCloud Remedy; and
2. facilitate technical aspects of the McCloud Remedy, providing members with a choice of benefits for the remedy period for which the identified age discrimination applies: 1 April 2015 to 31 March 2022.

Please note this consultation closes on Wednesday 7 June 2023. PFNI and the other police staff associations and stakeholders will be providing their own respective responses.
