Holiday Pay Update 15th March 2024
Edwards & Co. Solicitors attended a review hearing on 8th March 2024, in front of the President of the Industrial Tribunal. As you may be aware, the President on several occasions has stated he believes these claims should be resolved between the parties otherwise it will take the Tribunal years to determine the value of each case; each case to be heard individually.
Your legal team has been working in the background to narrow legal issues with the PSNI’s legal team, with a view to secure the best possible outcome for you. Whilst issues have been narrowed and progress made, presently some legally issues remain in dispute i.e. access to records, interest and how far claims may go back.
The President has ordered a hearing to take place on 3rd December 2024 for 4 days, to deal with any outstanding legal issue extant between the parties at that point. It is hoped the parties can avail of the time from now to resolve all issues in order we can progress with settlement asap, without the need for this further hearing.
