The scheme is currently open to all serving and retired officers up to the end of the year they reach 75. The Private Healthcare premium is dependent on the age of the lead member. Dependent children are included in the family rate up to the end of the year they reach the age of 21. Membership is extended to all dependent children aged 21-30 at the renewal date of the scheme (1st January annually). To be eligible, during your membership, children over 21 must remain dependant on you, either living at home or studying away.
